I signed up hoping to get a local number, but there weren’t any available for my area. When I contacted support, they basically just told me to try again later, which wasn’t very helpful. On top of that, the reminders were way too aggressive and started getting annoying quickly

Calls have been working fine for me, but texts come in late sometimes, which gets annoying. If it keeps happening, I might have to look for another option.

Most of my payments have gone through without any issue, but there was one time where it took longer than I expected and I had to wait around for the confirmation. From the way it just kind of sat there, I assumed something might be held up behind the scenes. It wasn’t a huge problem, just made the process feel a bit less smooth that time.

The QR code did work in the end, so my brain kind of filed it under “good enough.” It was a bit slow to load, though, which made me wonder for a second if it wasn’t going to work. Once it finally came up, everything was fine

I picked up amigosim before my trip thinking it would make getting around a lot easier, but it ended up being frustrating. When I was in bigger, busier areas, it worked here and there, but as soon as I moved around a bit, the signal would randomly drop.

I remember trying to pull up maps while I was out exploring, and they took forever to load. A couple of calls also cut out on me, which was annoying because I was relying on the sim to avoid constantly searching for wifi.

In the end, I spent way too much time hunting for wifi anyway, which kind of defeated the whole purpose. Maybe it works better in other places or for other people, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t use it again.

I reached out to support hoping they could actually fix the issue, but it just felt like a total waste of time. Nothing got resolved, and I ended up more frustrated than when I started. A friend had recommended this, so I expected better, but my experience was disappointing.

I canceled my amigosim plan after my trip, it was easy. I did poke around for a couple minutes trying to find where the cancel option was — one of those moments where you’re checking menus and thinking maybe you missed something obvious. But once I found it, the process went through fine. I got the confirmation email afterward too, which always makes me feel better. Not totally perfect, I guess, but nothing that turned into a real problem.

The service itself worked okay, so no big complaints there. But the pricing wasn’t super clear, and that got frustrating. It felt like extra costs kind of popped up too late in the process, which I didn’t love. I just wish they were more upfront, more clear about everything before you actually buy.

I used Amigosim for a week-long trip, and to be fair, the data allowance did line up closely with what my phone was showing. There were a few moments where it seemed like the count lagged a bit, which made me a little paranoid that it might suddenly catch up or run out faster than expected. Luckily, that didn’t happen, and I didn’t run out early. It worked fine overall, but I was definitely checking it more than I wanted to

I tried setting up the eSIM using the instructions on amigosim.com, it felt like they were written for a different phone in a parallel universe. The steps didn’t match what I was seeing on my screen, and the whole QR/manual setup part was explained just enough to give me confidence before immediately taking it away.
I ended up googling basic things like APN and roaming settings myself, which was a fun little bonus task I definitely did not ask for. Maybe it’s fine if you already know your way around eSIMs, but as a normal user just trying to get connected, it was frustrating. Not exactly the smooth first experience I was hoping for.

I don’t know, something about it just feels off to me. I wouldn’t really trust it, and the whole thing kind of had me like, make it make sense.

I placed my order thinking I knew exactly what I was paying, but the total jumped afterward because of extra fees. To me, that feels misleading, even if it’s technically listed somewhere later. I’d much rather see the full cost upfront so I can decide before checking out.

I had such a frustrating time trying to activate this. It should’ve been quick, like entering a code, clicking a link, or signing into an account, but instead I kept running into issues. I tried refreshing the page, checking my email, restarting the app, logging out and back in, even waiting a while to see if it would magically work, nothing helped. It just wasted a bunch of my time for something that should’ve been simple.
